Broad Spectrum Probiotic
A healthy digestive tract is the basis for overall good health – and beneficial probiotics are the foundation of a healthy digestive tract. Multiple strains of probiotics are the hallmark of a good probiotic supplement. ‡
Beneficial bacteria in our digestive tract play an important role in complete and thorough digestion of food. An unhealthy digestive tract can lead to a number of issues, including: bloating, constipation, and other undesirable symptoms. ‡
But, did you also know that beneficial bacteria also play a very important role in our overall health? Surprising to many, approximately 70% of our immune system is actually in the digestive tract.
The human gut is filled with many, many types of beneficial bacteria, all serving a purpose. However, many of us eat a diet that not only doesn’t support a healthy gut, but can actually be harmful to those helpful bacteria. Therefore, it is important to supplement with a probiotic to support the gut, and that probiotic should contain multiple strains of probiotics, not just one or two. ‡
Broad Spectrum Probiotic contains 10 billion CFUs (colony forming units) of 10 different strains of probiotics specifically selected to provide the best benefit for your digestive system.
We have also included a very potent prebiotic (food for probiotics) to help the probiotics get a good start. ‡
Broad Spectrum Probiotic caplets are non-GMO, vegetarian friendly, tested as gluten-free, and free from soy, wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, eggs, fish, and crustacean shellfish. Broad Spectrum Probiotic is also in a patented matrix which protects the sensitive bacteria from stomach acid, allowing for the bacteria to be delivered to the intestines where they are needed. Broad Spectrum Probiotic is also shelf stable and does not require refrigeration.

Lactobacillus – is one type of beneficial probiotic. There are approximately 180 different species of Lactobacillus and they convert sugars into lactic acid. They are very beneficial for digestive health and are used to treat diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), colic, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), inflammation of the colon, constipation, and can be used for the treatment of stomach ulcers. Studies have also shown that taking Lactobacillus acidophilius as a supplement can prevent and treat vaginal infections.
Bifidobacterium – these bacteria are found primarily in the intestines, but can also be found in the mouth and vagina of mammals. Bifidobacteria are commonly used for diarrhea, constipation, an intestinal disorder called irritable bowel syndrome, for preventing the common cold or flu.
